Vintage Wooden Bobbin

We have a selection of original vintage bobbins which were used in textile mills and are an artifact from a bygone industrial age.  

Yarn or thread was wound onto these cylindrical spools, to be unwound in a smooth continuous movement during the weaving process.

They now make unusual decorative display items.

Each one measures approx 11cm high and 8.5cm across.
